Our Process

At A For Arpana, every piece of jewelry is crafted with intention, heritage, and time. We create high quality small-batch 925 silver pieces that celebrate the artistry of Nepal and the skill of the hands that bring each design to life.

Our commitment is simple: slow-made, handcrafted jewelry designed with care and made to last.

Crafted in Kathmandu, Nepal

Each piece is handmade in a small workshop in Kathmandu by our master artisan Chudamani Bishowkarma, who has over 20 years of experience in traditional silver craftsmanship. Working directly with him allows us to protect age-old techniques while creating modern, timeless designs.

We believe that true craftsmanship can’t be rushed—every detail is shaped with precision and respect for Nepal’s rich heritage of metalwork and artistry.

How Your Jewelry Is Made

1. Melting & Preparing the Silver

We begin with raw 925 sterling silver. It is melted, purified, and carefully poured into molds, forming the base of each piece.

2. Handcrafting the Form

Using simple hand tools, Chudamani shapes, carves, and builds each piece from scratch. Every curve, angle, and structure is formed by hand, giving each item its own subtle uniqueness.

3. Stone Selection & Setting

We use thoughtfully chosen gemstones, which are individually placed and set by hand. Stone setting requires patience and technique to ensure durability, symmetry, and beauty.

4. Hand-Carving & Detail Work

Texturing, carving, and refining add depth and character. This stage highlights the artistry and precision that define handmade jewelry.

5. Finishing & Polishing

Each piece is filed, smoothed, and polished by hand to achieve its final shine. The result is a refined, high-end piece with a human touch that machines cannot replicate.

Small-Batch, Slow-Made, Heritage-Driven

We produce in small batches to maintain quality and honor the slow process of true craftsmanship. Working closely with our artisan allows us to preserve traditional Nepali techniques while offering jewelry that is meaningful, intentional, and beautifully made.

At A For Arpana, every piece carries the story of the hands that shaped it—and the heritage it represents.
